Standardized Herbs
Recognition of the potential health-promoting effects of herbs can be traced back to ancient civilizations in Egypt, China, Greece and India – and more recently to Native Americans in the New World. As long as Eastern and Western history have been recorded, herbs have been used safely and effectively to implement a shift in underlying physiological processes, so the body can readily defend itself or adapt to the situation at hand. In fact, herbs have traditionally been used for a virtually endless list of condition-specfic applications: general health and wellness, healing, immunity/resistance, weight and stress management, raising and renewing body vitality/energy, and more. Many of today’s medicines originated from herbs and botanicals. |
